The Computer Science and Systems Laboratory conducts fundamental and applied research in the fields of computer science, automation, signal and image processing.
The LIS is a Joint Research Unit under the supervision of the CNRS, Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and the University of Toulon (UTLN).
Its premises are located on the Saint-Jérôme and Luminy campuses in Marseille and on the campus of the University of Toulon.
LIS has over 375 members, including 190 permanent researchers and teacher-researchers and 20 IT/IATSS staff.
Comprising 20 research teams, LIS is structured around 4 divisions:
The research carried out is generally applied in fields as diverse as transport, health, energy, environment, defense, etc.
