The Timone Neuroscience Institute (INT) is a laboratory dedicated to the study of the structure and function of the brain and spinal cord.

It focuses on understanding the mechanisms that influence the structure and function of the nervous system throughout life.

INT is a joint Research unit under the auspices of National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and Aix-Marseille University.

INT is structured around 14 research teams, covering several major areas of research:

  • Action, Perception and Emotion
  • Exploring the organization of the brain and spinal cord at different scales
  • A biological brain within the organism
  • Imaging and manipulating the brain at different scales
  • Computational and theoretical neuroscience
