IM2NP lies at the crossroads of physics, chemistry and microelectronics.

IM2NP is a multi-site laboratory with a regional dimension, located in both Marseille and Toulon, and is a Joint Research Unit under the triple umbrella of the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and the University of Toulon (UTLN).

IM2NP's teams and departments have undeniable expertise in numerous experimental and theoretical fields covering solid state physics, materials chemistry, integrated devices, circuits and systems, circuits, reliability, signal processing and instrumentation.

IM2NP is structured around 19 research teams, grouped into 5 scientific departments that cover the entire knowledge chain, from basic sciences (solid state physics, materials chemistry) to devices, circuits and systems:
